The Platform
Decentraland is the world’s first fully decentralized, Ethereum blockchain-based virtual world,
built, governed, and owned by its users. It’s a truly unique ecosystem with its own decentralized
autonomous organization, currency, marketplace, and system of property – and it’s growing fast!
New creations are added daily by creators who use proprietary developer tools to make games,
puzzles, scenes, artworks – whatever their imaginations allow. Via their personal avatars, users
attend live music events, conferences, exhibitions, dance parties, and other experiences every
day of the year. What began as a proof-of-concept for assigning ownership of digital real estate
to users of a blockchain is now an immersive, ever-expanding, and richly detailed metaverse,
where anything is possible.
The challenge
Decentraland has experienced explosive growth since its launch and is now played by hundreds
of thousands of users monthly, featured in the media regularly, and is garnering brand attention.
You will be in charge of leveraging this momentum and keeping users activated and engaged in
the platform.
The ideal candidate loves taking on big challenges, is data-driven, and enjoys coming up with
new plans to unleash both organic and incentivized growth.
You will work closely with a team of developers, designers and data analysts to take
Decentraland’s user experience to the next level.
Responsibilities
● Design and execute end-to-end exhaustive experiments that foster Decentraland’s user
base retention, including but not limited to activation, engagement and resurrection
campaigns.
● Formulates, tests and refines assumptions and hypotheses through user research and
testing
● Work on optimizing Decentraland’s first time user experience.
● Work with community management, copywriting, and content teams to create and
manage global experiences that increase engagement.
● Manage the roadmap for retention focused features, such as push notification, in-app
notifications, email, web notifications, and other ways to bring users back to the product
Requirements
● 5+ years of product marketing or growth marketing roles in gaming products, preferably
in retention oriented roles.
● Experience designing, executing and extracting learnings from A/B experiments.
● Experience creating strategic product roadmaps, and working with cross-functional
teams
● Data-driven decision making, possesses strong analytical skills, and are comfortable
dealing with data
● Excellent spoken and written communication skills, allowing you to deliver complex
information clearly to your colleagues and through marketing material
● Comfortable dealing with business intelligence tools and/or SQL
● Passionate about gaming and/or crypto
