A bit about the role:
To help us during this phase of rapid growth, we are looking to hire a Group Financial Controller to level up our company operations and optimise business performance. Reporting into the CFO, this is a great opportunity to put your footprint on a maturing finance function, building robust financial control and compliance reporting initiatives whilst developing an in-house accounting function.
You will have the opportunity to:
- Manage a close process for all entities and the statutory and compliance processes including all filing and audit-related requirements
- Build and maintain the accounting and financial systems, drive automation efforts where possible
- Partner closely with FP&A to produce timely, high-quality management reporting to support critical decision making
- Oversee financial operations to ensure timely management of AR/AP and PayrollSet-up and manage internal controls across the company and monitor compliance
- Drive ongoing process improvement program to improve team efficiency, speed to insight, and safeguard integrity of financial information
- Potential to manage group liquidity operations (Treasury Operations)
We would love you to have:
- 10 years+ work experience with strong knowledge of financial systems and controls
- Big 4 accounting background and CA qualified
- Technology company experience, fintech would be ideal
- Experience managing and building an accounting function
- Strong experience maintaining/managing ERPs and supporting accounting systems/too strong process automation experience
- Ability to work cross-functionally with multiple teams
- Strong communication skills with the ability to work effectively and confidently with senior stakeholders, and operate at all levels within the company
- Excellent problem-solver and ability to make decisions independently
- Superior attention to detail
- Desire to learn about web3 technology and business models
Some extra skills that would be awesome:
- International experience would be highly desirable
- Treasury ops experience would be highly desirable
- Interest in web3 / crypto
