We are looking for a quality-driven and innovative Audio Programmer to join our highly motivated and experienced Audio team.

Under the supervision of the Audio Director and Tech Director, you’ll be in charge of making sure that the game’s audio assets (e.g. music, ambiance, dialogue, and sound effects) load smoothly, trigger correctly, and playback in high quality while using minimal processing power.

Additional tasks might include creating or improving our in-house audio implementation and integration tools.

What you’ll be doing

  • Design and implement the audio system into the game engine
  • Aid in developing tools for the audio team, including performance and optimization features
  • Analyze the requested audio features and propose system and implementation solutions
  • Support the sound designers in implementing audio
  • Work with the programming team and aid bridge audio technical needs
  • Develop and troubleshoot audio debugging tool

Requirements

  • 5+ years experience in game development as a programmer;
  • Degree in programming, computer engineering, or equivalent work experience;
  • Excellent C#, C, or C++ programming skills;
  • Experience developing audio systems and tools;
  • Experience with industry audio middleware such as Wwise, FMOD, etc;
  • Extensive experience working with Unity and its audio pipeline;
  • Proven record of having shipped multiple titles;
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills in English;
  • A passion for games;
  • Ability to take initiatives

 

Nice to have:



  • French or Spanish is a plus;
  • Understanding of the audio production process; 
  • Live audio streaming knowledge;
  • Multiplayer game programming;
  • Experience working on user-generated content platforms;
  • Experience working with WAAPI;
  • Knowledge of immersive audio i.e., atmos, spatial, ambisonics.
